On this tour we are going through 3 Kingdoms:

  • Lesotho

  • Eswatini (old Swaziland)

  • Zulu Kingdom

Tour description

Day 1 – Arrival in Umhlanga – (50KM)

You will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon we collect our bikes. Welcome dinner & Tour briefing.

Overnight: Umhlanga – Dinner, bed & breakfast

Day 2 – Umhlanga – Margate – (160KM)

After breakfast our journey takes us along the East Coast into Durban. After a short visit of the promenad we continue along the coast to Margate.

Day 3 – Margate – Maclear – (350KM)

On our journey today we pass through small villigaes and wild animals on the street (cows & sheep). The scenery of the Drakensberg is always present. After checking in to our guesthouse we enjoy dinner in Maclear this evening.

Day 4 – Maclear – Wepener – (380KM)

Today we get an early start and head to Wepener. The journey takes us through some spectacular scenery past waving children into the highlands of the Eastern Cape. After checking in to our guesthouse we enjoy dinner.

Day 5 – Wepener – Katse Dam, Lesotho (310KM)

We continue around of Lesotho, crossing border into Lesotho and reach the Katse Dam in the afternoon. We enjoy dinner at the lodge.

Day 6 – Katse Dam Day Trip (100km)

 In the morning we are going on a guided tour which gives us lots of details & facts about the Katse Dam. Later we explorer the surroundings of the dam.

Day 7 – Katse Dam – Sani Pass (210KM)

The awe-inspiring Sani Pass climbs the face of the escarpment to an altitude of 2874m and into the “Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho”. It is the getaway to the “Roof of Africa”. The scenery is breath-taking and attracts visitors from all over the world. Originally developed as a bridal path in 1913, the pass served as an important link between the Underberg district and the remote settlement of Mokhotlong, in north-eastern Lesotho.

The highest pub in Africa offers a cold beer. For dinner tonight we enjoy a traditional South African Braai (BBQ).

Day 8 – Sani Pass – Clarens – (260KM)

After breakfast and some more breathtaking pictures we heading North. Crossing border again back to South Africa. In the afternoon we check into our accommodation in the little town of Clarens. We enjoy dinner at a restaurant in town. and on our way to Clarens.

Day 9 – Clarens – Newcastle (245KM)

Today we head north into the land of the Tswana People. Our journey takes us through Bela-Bela (Warmbaths) and on into the Limpopo Province. The scenery changes from endless grasslands to thick forests and deep valley’s as we make our way to Tzaneen in the afternoon. Dinner at the Hotel

Day 10 – Tzaneen – Hazyview (300KM)

Lush green forests, mountain passes and spectacular scenery await us on today’s journey as we ride along the panorama route following the meanderings of the Blyde River. The day is filled with many photographic highlights and winding roads past waterfalls, through valleys and across mountains. We check in at our guesthouse in the afternoon and enjoy a drink at the pub before get dinner.

Day 11 – Kruger National Park

Today we leave our bikes behind to go in search of Africa Big 5 in the Kruger National Park. We meet our qualified ranger at the gate to the park and embark on a safari adventure in open vehicles. We return to the guesthouse in the late afternoon. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 12 – Hazyview – Swaziland (300KM)

Today we leave South Africa behind and travel into the smallest Kingdom in Africa, Swaziland. Our scenic ride through the small kingdom takes us to our accommodation deep in the forests of Malkerns.

Day 13 – Swaziland – St. Lucia (400KM)

Today we make our way back into South Africa and the province of KwaZulu Natal. Our route takes us along the Elephant Coast down to St. Lucia. We arrive in the afternoon in time to watch the sun set across the Indian Ocean before enjoying dinner at a local Restaurant.

Day 14 – St. Lucia – Umhlanga (360km)

In the morning after breakfast we go for a boat trip to see hippos & crocodiles. After that we slowly make our way back to Umhlanga. We drop the bikes in the afternoon and finish the tour with a farewell dinner in one of the restaurants in the nearby mall.
