Day 1 – Arrival Cape Town (app.60km)
On arrival in Cape Town we will meet you and take you to your hotel in the City. After freshening up enjoy a city tour with a visit to Table Mountain (weather dependant) followed by a transfer to the rental depot to collect the bikes. After the formalities and some time for T-Shirt shopping we enjoy a short warm-up Tour around Table Bay and enjoy the view across the Bay onto the city’s icon followed by dinner.

Day 2 – Cape Town – Wellington (ca. 295km)
After breakfast we leave along the West Coast to Ysterfontein. After a cup of coffee and enjoying the tremendous view we head inland to Tulbagh, the second oldest ‘Drosty’ (financial district) for lunch (own account). From Tulbagh we head over the Bains Kloof Pass to Wellington where we stay on a wine farm.

Day 3 – Wellington – Montagu (ca. 300km)
Our route takes us from Wellington to Franschhoek today. On route we make a short stop at the Victor Verster Prison from which Nelson Mandela was officially released in 1990. After a short shopping trip in the town and a cup of coffee we continue over th Franschhoek Pass to the Theewaterskloof Damm, the largest fresh water reservoir in the cape region. From here our journey continues via Villiersdorp to Worcester and through the Hex River Valley to Matroosberg. The Rooihoogte Pass and the Burgers Pass takes us to Montagu, our destination for today. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 – Montagu – Oudtshoorn (ca. 285km)
The town of Montagu is the start of the route 62, often compared to the Route 66 in Amerika, only it is not as long. The two routes have much in common, both join 2 cities Route 66 = Chicago – Los Angeles, Route 62 = Cape Town – Port Elizabeth. Before we travel along the first part of the Route 62 today to Oudtshoorn, the Ostrich Capitol of South Africa we take a short detour via Ashton to Swellendam. From here the scenic Tradouw Pass takes us back to the Route 62 at Barrydale. Now we continue through the little Karoo, a must seen stop at ‘Ronnies Sex Shop’ and then through Ladismith and Calitzdorp to Oudtshoorn. We end our day with a visit to an Ostrich Farm where we can learn more about the largest flightless bird during a guided tour. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 5 – Oudtshoorn – St. Francis Bay (ca. 320km)
In the morning a visit to the „Cango Wildlife Ranch“ is on the programme, where we can see not only crocodiles, lemurs, pigmy hippos, Lions and meerkats, but also cheetahs and white tigers. These cheetahs and white tigers are part of special breeding projects and offer vistors the unique opportunity to touch these animals (optional and for own account). Leaving Oudtshoorn towards St. Francis via the second part of the Route 62 through Harlem, Joubertina, Kareedouw und Humansdorp. Arrival at St. Francis and check in at our guesthouse is planned for early afternoon to have the opportunity to spent some time at the beach or visit the lighthouse or the African Penguin Sanctuary. Day 6 – St. Francis Bay – Graaff-Reinet (ca. 320km)
Today we are travelling through the big Karoo. This region is well known for sheep breeding. Graaff Reinet is the only town in South Affrica which is situated in the middle of a Nature Reserve. At every corner you will find old houses and historical monuments. Depending on our time of arrival we check in first and than going out to one of the most fantastic view point in this region, the Valley of Desolation or other wise we go to the view point first and than check in.

Day 7 – Graaff-Reinett – Addo (ca. 280km)
After breakfast we are leaving Graaff-Reinet to our next overnight stop Colchester via Pearston and Somerset East. In Somerset East there is a very interesting Art museum. Our lodge is situated at the south end of the Addo Elephant National Park. The Addo Elephant National Park is the biggest NP in the Eastern Cape Provinz, with over 600 Elephants. Day 8 – Addo Safari – Private Game Reserve
In the early morning we embark on an open vehicle game drive with a ranger in the Addo Elephant Park. The Park is also home to various species of antelope, warthogs and with luck we may see lion. After spending the morning in the park we travel to the private game reserve Kariega. On the afternoon game drive we have a chance of seeing Africa’s Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino & Buffalo). Back at the Lodge dinner awaits.

Day 9 – Private Game Reserve – Storms River Village (ca. 210km)
Today is the turning point of our trip. After the early morning game drive we make our way to port Elisabeth. After a short stop at the beach we head west along the national road N2 to Humansdorp. From here we take the old R 102 through the Tsitsikamma forest. In the afternoon we visit the Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River Mouth. Here you have the opportunity to enjoy a walk to the hanging bridge or take a short trip by boat up the gorge (optional).

Day 10 – Storms River Village – Knysna (ca. 100km)
Our first stop today is at the Bloukrans Bridge. The brave have the opportunity to dare to jump from the world’s highest Bungee Jump Site at 216m. For the not so brave there is a viewing platform from which to watch the action. From here our journey continues via Plettenberg Bay to Knysna, the Heart of the Garden Route. We enjoy a sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon where you can try some oysters and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine before we have dinner at one of the restaurants at the Knynsa Waterfront.

Day 11 – Knysna – Swellendam (ca. 400km)
From Knysna we ride along the Garden Route to George and across the scenic Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn. After a short coffee stop we make our way back to the coast to Mosselbay across the Robinson Pass. The last stretch of our journey takes us along the National Road N2 to Swelledam. Day 12 – Swellendam – Hermanus (ca. 345km)
Today’s highlight is the stop at Cape L’Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa. From here we travel via Bredarsdorp and Napier to Hermanus. Dinner in a Restaurant in Hermanus.

Day 13 – Hermanus – Cape Town (ca. 280km)
The last stage of our trip takes us along the coast via Kleinmond, Betty’s Bay and Pringle Bay along the scenic Clarence Drive to Somerset West. From here we head along the Cape Peninsula to the Cape of Good Hope. After a photo stop we travel across the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive to Cape own. In the evening we enjoy a culinary journey through the African Continent at the Africa Cafe.

Day 14 – Departure (ca. 30km)
We return the bikes to the rental station in the morning and transfer back to the hotel. Time at leisure for last minute shopping before we take you to the airport in time for your flight home.
