Tour description

Day 1 – Arrival in Cape Town – (ca. 100KM)

You will be met at the airport and transferred to the depot to collect your bikes. From here to Bloubergstrand for the first photo shooting of Cape Town and Table Mountain before we head inland to Wellington to our first overnight.

Day 2 – Wellington – Clanwilliam – (220KM)

After breakfast our journey takes us over the Bainskloof Pass to Tulbagh. From there we heading North along the Cederberg Mountains to Clanwilliam. Traditional South African hospitality awaits us at dinner in one of the restaurants in Clanwilliams.

Day 3 – Clanwilliam – Springbok – (350KM)

Along the West Coast and some mountains we continue our ride on the N7 to the North to Springbok.

Day 4 – Springbok – Augrabies Falls NP – (300KM)

Day 10 – Kruger NP

Today we leave our bikes behind to go in search of Africa Big 5 in the Kruger National Park. We meet our qualified ranger at the gate to the park and embark on a safari adventure in open vehicles. We return to the guesthouse in the late afternoon. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 11 – Hazyview – Lobamba, Swaziland – (290km)

Today we leave South Africa behind and travel into the smallest Kingdom in Africa, Swaziland. Our scenic ride through the small kingdom takes us to our accommodation deep in the forests of Malkerns.

Day 12 – Lobamba – St. Lucia – (380km)

Today we make our way back into South Africa and the province of KwaZulu Natal. Our route takes us along the Elephant Coast down to St. Lucia. We arrive in the afternoon in time to watch the sun set across the Indian Ocean before enjoying dinner at a local Restaurant.

Day 13 – St. Lucia

Today we take a break from riding. We start with a boat cruise on the iSimagaliso Wetland Park looking for hippos and crocodiles and relax on the beach at Cape Vidal. We enjoy dinner at a restaurant in town.

Day 14 – St. Lucia – Underberg – (450km)

Day 15 – Sani Pass

Today we embark on a trip up the famous Sani Pass. The awe-inspiring Sani Pass climbs the face of the escarpment to an altitude of 2874m and into the “Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho”. It is the getaway to the “Roof of Africa”. The scenery is breath-taking and attracts visitors from all over the world. Originally developed as a bridal path in 1913, the pass served as an important link between the Underberg district and the remote settlement of Mokhotlong, in north-eastern Lesotho. The first vehicle negotiated the path in 1948. It is now used for the most part by 4×4 vehicles and has become the highlight of the Southern Drakensberg. The tour will reveal the history of the pass, geology of the mountains, flora & fauna, and a unique experience with the Basotho people. The highest pub in Africa offers a cold beer & lunch before the descent back to Underberg. For dinner tonight we enjoy a traditional South African Braai (BBQ) and reminisce about the great rally we have just attended around the fire.

Day 16 – Underberg – Maclear – (310km)

Day 17 – Maclear – Graaff-Reinet – (490km)

Day 18 – Graaff-Reinet – Addo – (280km)

Day 19 – Addo – Knysna – (300km)

We travel on the National Road N2, passing Port Elizabeth, Humansdorp and through the Tsitsikamma forest. After a visit to the Storms River Mouth we continue through Plettenberg Bay and check in at our accommodation on the Knysna Lagoon. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 20 – Knysna

Day 21 – Knysna – Oudtshoorn – (120km)

We travel across the scenic Outeniqua pass to Oudtshoorn, ostrich capitol of South Africa. After visiting an ostrich farm we enjoy dinner at the lodge.

Day 22 – Oudtshoorn – Hermanus – (420km)

Day 23 – Hermanus – Cape Town – (270km)

After breakfast we ride along the Coast on our way towards Cape Town. Enjoy the road as it winds its way along the coast to Somerset West. After a short trip on the highway we make our way along the coast around the Cape peninsula. After stopping for photos at the Cape of Good Hope we ride across the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive to Cape Town and our hotel. We enjoy the city lights and a farewell dinner together and look back on our incredible adventure.

Day 24 – Departure

After breakfast we return the motorcycles and there is time to explore the city or take a trip up Table Mountain before your guide takes you to the airport for your flight out.
